Investment property

This section of Lasting Point deals with some of the aspects of property that should be taken into consideration when making long-term plans, including using rental property as a source of income and so called equity release schemes.

As with tax, pensions and investments, the subject is so large and complex that we encourage you to take professional advice when you have given thought to the issues.

Rental property

An increasing number of people use property, whether residential or commercial, as a source both of income and – they hope – capital appreciation.

The financial crisis has reduced enthusiasm for this, despite very low interest rates, both by borrowers and lenders. Once again, we take the view that this is an area for the expert –and not for the risk-averse.
